DESCRIPTION:Ensuring teenagers are aware of the danger of melanoma and the importance of sun safety is the mission of the SunSafe peer-to-peer learning program\, an initiative of Melanoma Institute Australia run in partnership with Sydney Local Health District\, Northern Sydney Local Health District\, Cancer Council NSW and Cancer Council WA. \nSecondary schools are invited to participate in the SunSafe Student Ambassador Program by attending one of our free workshops – held in Sydney\, Perth\, Wagga Wagga and Hobart – which will empower students to share the sun-safe message in their own school. \nThe workshop trains representative students in the importance of sun safety and how to deliver an engaging presentation. The students then go back to their schools and\, using the skills they have learned\, deliver a sun-safe presentation to their peers.
