SUMMARY:The Viertel Charitable Foundation Fellowship
DESCRIPTION:The Sylvia & Charles Viertel Charitable Foundation invites applications for the Senior Medical Research Fellowships valued at $275\,000 per annum (total $1\,375\,000 over 5 years) to commence in 2027. \nThis funding opportunity is designed to support: \n\nearly to mid-career researchers qualified to at least the post-doctoral level (no more than 10 years post-doc\, taking into account career disruptions);\nwho are outstanding researchers;\nwho do not currently hold a senior research or teaching position;\nwho are medically qualified\, or PhD graduates of another scientific discipline with recognised post-doctoral achievements;\nwho are seeking to establish a research career in Australia and undertake research in an Australian academic institution; and\nwho are either an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia\, or a New Zealand citizen with a Special Category (subclass 444) visa.\n\nKey Dates \nApplications close: 31 March 2026 11:59pm (AEST) \nSEE GRANT GUIDELINES PDFAPPLY HERESEE WEBSITE
