SUMMARY:NHMRC Investigator Grants
DESCRIPTION:Investigator Grants provide the highest-performing researchers at all career stages with consolidated funding for their salary (if required) and a significant research support package. \nIn this way\, the Chief Investigator has flexibility to pursue important new research directions as they arise\, adjust their resources accordingly\, and to form collaborations as needed\, rather than being restricted to the scope of a specific research project. \nInvestigator Grants support: \n\nResearch across the 4 pillars of health and medical research: biomedical\, clinical\, public health and health services research.\nAll career stages: early career researchers\, mid-career researchers and established researchers\nResearchers with clinical responsibilities (such as clinicians\, public health and allied health practitioners)\nFull-time and part-time researchers.\n\nInvestigator Grants aim to: \n\nAllow flexibility for investigators to pursue important new research directions as they arise and to form collaborations as needed\nFoster innovative and creative research\nCreate opportunities for researchers at all career stages to establish their own research programs\nReduce application and peer review burden on researchers.\n\n\nKey Dates:\nApplications open: 3 June 2026\nMinimum data due: 1 July 2026\nApplications close: 29 July 2026\nProposed peer review: August – November 2026\nOutcomes to be advised: March 2027 \nSEE GRANT GUIDELINESSEE WEBSITE

SUMMARY:RACP Research Awards and Career Grants
DESCRIPTION:Through the RACP Foundation\, we’re able to offer financial support to Fellows and trainees pursuing careers in medical research. Over 50 different fellowships\, scholarships and grants are available annually\, totalling over $2.5 million in funding. \nCareer Development Fellowships are intended for mid-career researchers who completed their research higher degree over 7 years ago and/or researchers who are not eligible for either Research Entry Scholarship or Research Establishment Fellowships. \nResearch Establishment Fellowships are available to Fellows and Advanced Trainees who want to establish themselves in a research career. \nResearch Entry Scholarships provide up to $45\,000 stipend support to Advanced Trainees and Fellows who are at the start of their research careers\, helping them undertake a Masters\, PhD or equivalent higher degree and build a foundation for a future in medical research. \nResearch Development Grants provide from $10\,000 to $30\,000 in funding for smaller research projects for beginning researchers.
