DESCRIPTION:Sydney Health Partners Awards celebrate outstanding early career researchers\, clinician researchers\, and consumers who are creating lasting impact in clinical and health services research. Award winners will be announced at the upcoming SHP Annual Forum on 29 July 2026. \n\n\n\n\n\nAward Categories\n \n\n\n\n\nEarly career researchers and clinician researchers can apply or be nominated for one of five Awards: \n\nTranslational Research Addressing a Health Priority\nClinical Trial Excellence\nExcellence in Consumer-Researcher Partnerships\nResearcher–Health Professional Collaborations\nSHP Using Research to Change Health Practice\n\nEach Award winner will receive funding of $2\,000 for: \n\nresearch-related professional development expenses\, and/or\npayments for consumers partnering in research.\n\nNominees for the early career researchers and clinician researcher awards must be employed by a Sydney Health Partner organisation.  \n\nConsumer Contributions to Health Research\n\nThis consumer-focused award recognises the valued contribution of consumers who are actively involved in shaping health research that matters. SUMMARY:RACP Research Awards and Career Grants
DESCRIPTION:Through the RACP Foundation\, we’re able to offer financial support to Fellows and trainees pursuing careers in medical research. Over 50 different fellowships\, scholarships and grants are available annually\, totalling over $2.5 million in funding. \nCareer Development Fellowships are intended for mid-career researchers who completed their research higher degree over 7 years ago and/or researchers who are not eligible for either Research Entry Scholarship or Research Establishment Fellowships. \nResearch Establishment Fellowships are available to Fellows and Advanced Trainees who want to establish themselves in a research career. \nResearch Entry Scholarships provide stipend support only and are to assist Fellows and Advanced Trainees who are: \n\nat the start of their research careers and about to enrol in a Masters\, PhD or equivalent research higher degree\nin the 1st or 2nd full-time equivalent year of their research degree.\n\n\nKey Dates\nApplications close: 30 June 2026\nApplications close (Research Entry Scholarships): 7 July 2026\nOutcomes advised: December 2026 \nSEE WEBSITE

DESCRIPTION:Investigator Grants provide the highest-performing researchers at all career stages with consolidated funding for their salary (if required) and a significant research support package. \nIn this way\, the Chief Investigator has flexibility to pursue important new research directions as they arise\, adjust their resources accordingly\, and to form collaborations as needed\, rather than being restricted to the scope of a specific research project. \nInvestigator Grants support: \n\nResearch across the 4 pillars of health and medical research: biomedical\, clinical\, public health and health services research.\nAll career stages: early career researchers\, mid-career researchers and established researchers\nResearchers with clinical responsibilities (such as clinicians\, public health and allied health practitioners)\nFull-time and part-time researchers.\n\nInvestigator Grants aim to: \n\nAllow flexibility for investigators to pursue important new research directions as they arise and to form collaborations as needed\nFoster innovative and creative research\nCreate opportunities for researchers at all career stages to establish their own research programs\nReduce application and peer review burden on researchers.\n\n\nKey Dates:\nApplications open: 3 June 2026\nMinimum data due: 1 July 2026\nApplications close: 29 July 2026\nProposed peer review: August – November 2026\nOutcomes to be advised: March 2027 \nSEE GRANT GUIDELINESSEE WEBSITE

SUMMARY:MRFF EMCR Initiative - Early to Mid-Career Researchers Grant
DESCRIPTION:The Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) –2026 Early to Mid-Career Researchers Grant Opportunity will support research to build and grow research capacity and capability in Australia by supporting Early to Mid-Career Researchers (EMCRs) to continue their health and medical research careers. \nThe objective of this grant opportunity is to provide grants of financial assistance to support medical research and medical innovation projects that: \n\nStream 1 (Incubator): conduct early stage\, small scale research\, led by early career researchers\, that seeks to assess the potential and feasibility of novel strategies to address a critical or intractable health issue in one or more Priority Populations.\nStream 2 (Accelerator): establish a large-scale interdisciplinary research program\, led by mid-career researchers\, that drives implementation of substantial improvements to health care and/or health system effectiveness for one or more Priority Populations.\nStream 3 (Targeted Call for Research): utilise co-funding to accelerate the translation of research led by early or mid-career researchers into policy and practice. (Note: a priority population focus is not required).\n\nThe intended outcome of the research is to improve the health and wellbeing of Australians by: \n\nStream 1 (Incubator): supporting early career researchers to develop innovative solutions for addressing significant health challenges in Priority Populations.\nStream 2 (Accelerator): supporting mid-career researchers to transform health practice and/or policy for Priority Populations.\nStream 3 (Targeted Call for Research): supporting early to mid-career researchers to translate new health solutions into practice.\n\n\nKey Dates:\nMinimum data due: 22 July 2026\nApplications close: 19 August 2026\nGrant activity timeframe: February 2027 \nSEE GRANT GUIDELINESSEE WEBSITE
