SUMMARY:IAP Congress
DESCRIPTION:It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 2026 XXXVI Congress of the International Academy of Pathology in Fukuoka\, bringing together the most enthusiastic and dedicated scholars in the field of pathology. Our goal is to create a unique platform where the latest advancements\, challenges\, and debates in diagnostic and molecular pathology are shared and discussed. \nThis biennial international congress on pathology will be held jointly with the 72nd Autumn Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Pathology\, which is held annually in Japan. \nAs the theme of this year’s congress is “Vision for the Future”\, we would like to hold a joint session in the sense of a new challenge that is not bound by the conventional format for the continued development of IAP. Key topics in molecular pathology including spatial transcriptome analysis and artificial intelligence will be explored across various subspecialties\, reflecting the evolving landscape of our field. We will also provide the programs on basic issues in pathology such as the educational system and infectious diseases. \nLocation: Fukuoka International Congress Center\, Fukuoka Sunpalace\, Fukuoka\, Japan \nKey Dates: \nAbstract Submission Deadline: Friday 10 April 2026\, 17:00 (JST)\nYoung Pathologist Award Application & Abstract Submission: Friday 10 April 2026\, 17:00 (JST)\nIAP Bursary Abstract Submission: Friday 10 April 2026\, 17:00 (JST)\nIAP Bursary Application Deadline: Thursday 30 April 2026\nNotification of Acceptance: June 2026 \nFIND OUT MORE

SUMMARY:CDMRP Melanoma Research Program
DESCRIPTION:The Melanoma Research Program (MRP) released program announcements for the following funding opportunities: \n\n\n\n·        Focused Program Award – Rare Melanomas \nThis award supports a multidisciplinary research program of at least two\, but not more than three\, distinct but complementary research projects addressing an overarching question relevant to rare melanomas. \n·        Idea Award \nThe Idea Award supports innovative\, exploratory\, high-risk/potentially high-reward research. Novelty and innovation are expected to be key aspects of the proposed project. By the end of the Idea Award funding period\, the anticipated outcomes of successful efforts should establish proof of principle and obtain preliminary data to secure follow-on funding. \n·        Melanoma Academy Scholar Award \nSupports the addition of independent\, early career investigators (Scholars) who are no more than seven years from their initial faculty appointment to the Melanoma Research Program (MRP) Melanoma Academy. The Melanoma Academy is a unique\, interactive virtual academy focused on bringing together established investigators and Scholars to develop a network of successful\, highly productive melanoma researchers in a collaborative research and career development environment. \n·        Survivorship Research Award \nThe award addresses the relatively new and underfunded area of melanoma-specific survivorship by supporting a broad range of innovative and impactful research that has the intended outcome of improving the health and well-being of melanoma survivors\, their families and/or their care partners in the near term. Proposed studies focusing exclusively on animal models or considering survival only without consideration of quality of life\, overall health and/or function are not responsive to this funding opportunity. \n·        Team Science Award \nSupports a broad range of hypothesis-driven\, multidisciplinary studies that have a short-term goal of advancing the state of the science in melanoma research and/or patient care. Team science is a synergistic effort that harnesses techniques\, approaches and perspectives from multiple disciplines and/or therapeutic areas to address complex\, multi-dimensional problems that will impact patient outcomes. \nKey Dates: \nSubmission Deadline (Pre-application-Pre-Proposal): 13 July 2026\nFocused Program Award – Rare Melanomas\nIdea Award\nTeam Science Award \nSubmission Deadline (Pre-application-Pre-Proposal): 22 September 2026\nMelanoma Academy Scholar Award\nSurvivorship Research Award \nApplication Submission Deadline: 14 October 2026 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSEE GRANT GUIDELINESSEE WEBSITE

SUMMARY:COSA Annual Scientific Meeting
DESCRIPTION:We are honoured to co-convene the 2026 COSA Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) to be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney from Wednesday 11 to Friday 13 November 2026\, with pre-conference workshops being held on Tuesday 10 November. \nThe theme for the 2026 COSA ASM is The precision generation: From cancer prevention to personalised care. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis theme reflects how far cancer care has evolved; from a one-size-fits-all rigid approach\, to care that is increasingly tailored to the individual\, across the entire cancer journey. \nThe disease theme will have a strong focus on lung cancers\, alongside sessions addressing head and neck cancers\, early-onset cancers such as colorectal cancer\, and brain cancer\, including both primary and metastatic disease. As always\, equity will be embedded throughout the program\, reflecting COSA’s ongoing commitment to improving outcomes for all people affected by cancer. \nIt has been almost a decade since the COSA ASM was held in Sydney\, so we are excited to bring it back to showcase the remarkable advances that have transformed cancer care over this time\, including the molecular biomarker realm and the evolution of novel transformative therapeutics. \nAustralia has developed deep expertise across clinical care\, research and clinical trials\, implementation and policy\, and the program will highlight this local leadership alongside contributions from international experts in the fields of drug development\, precision oncology\, pharmacogenomics and palliative and supportive care. \n\n\n\n\n\nLocation: International Convention Centre (ICC)\, Sydney\, Australia \nKey Dates: \nDelegate Designed Symposia Submissions Close: 3 July 2026\nAbstract Submissions Close: 7 August 2026\nAbstract Decision Notification: 2 September 2026\nAbstract Acceptance by Presenter: 11 September 2026\nEarly Bird Registration Deadline: 11 September 2026\nPre-conference Workshops: 10 November 2026 \nFIND OUT MORE
