DESCRIPTION:URGENT UPDATE: We regret to advise that the Ray Price Invitational Golf Day\, to be held on Monday 17 March\, has been postponed. The RACV Royal Pines Resort Golf Course remains closed following damage caused by ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.  \nFurther details regarding a rescheduled date will be provided when known. \nJoin Parramatta legend Ray Price for 18 holes at the RACV Royal Pines Resort and raise funds for melanoma research. \nDual International and Parramatta Eels legend Ray Price OAM will tee-off for a life-saving cause to help battle the disease that almost ended his days on the golf course. \nThe man they called ‘Mr Perpetual Motion’ is raising funds and awareness for Melanoma Institute Australia. \nThe four-time premiership winner was diagnosed in 2020 alongside his wife Sandy. The dynamic duo beat the disease with the kind of toughness epitomised by Price’s fearless reputation on the footy field. \nNow with the help of a few of Ray’s famous footy mates and some wonderful supporters\, they’re giving back! \nRegistration includes brekky roll and tea or coffee during check-in. DESCRIPTION:Develop your dermoscopy skills at our upcoming workshop hosted by Melanoma Institute Australia\, held in partnership with St Vincent’s Private Community Hospital Griffith. \nDermoscopy is an invaluable tool for General Practitioners\, offering a detailed assessment of skin lesions in everyday practice. \nIn this informative half-day session designed for General GPs\, we provide an introduction to dermoscopy\, highlighting its essential role in diagnosing and monitoring melanoma and other skin lesions within the context of general practice. \nParticipants will build confidence by gaining foundational knowledge and practical skills in identifying structures and distinguishing skin lesions\, including melanoma\, through the “Chaos and clues” algorithm. DESCRIPTION:The newest running event on the Mornington Peninsula is the Peninsula Trail Running Festival and will take place again on Sunday 8 June 2025. The course will cover sections along the foreshore trails (Bay trial) with runners being able to enjoy running through some stunning landscapes with Port Phillip Bay as the backdrop. The course will take competitors from the Start/Finish line at Rosebud to McCrae and back to Rosebud for the 5km and 10km events. The Half Marathon competitors will continue past the start line at Rosebud and head towards Capel Sound with the turnaround just before the Rye Pier and finish at Rosebud. The weekend features a variety of running & walking events to suit all ages and fitness levels. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday 3 August 2025 for the Sunshine Coast Marathon! Since its inception\, the Sunshine Coast Marathon has raised over $2 million for charity and community groups. \nLocated on the stunning Sunshine Coast\, this event has been timed to make the most of the ideal Queensland winter running conditions. Blue skies\, low humidity and mild temperatures combined with a flat course always enable fast times. \nEvent distances include the Marathon\, Half Marathon\, 10km\, 5km and the 2km. Each road race follows the stunning coastline of Alexandra Headland with white sandy beaches and spectacular vantage points alongside the ocean. The Half Marathon is a one-loop course with Marathon entrants completing a multi-loop course (1 x 21km + 2 x 10.5km’s) making the most of the on-course entertainment and crowds of spectators before a red carpet ‘hero’ finish. \nWith a distance to suit everyone\, this community-focused\, world-class athletic event caters to all ages and abilities. \nThe 2km event allows parents with prams and wheelchair entrants to take part and enjoy the festival atmosphere.
