SUMMARY:Melanoma March 2026
DESCRIPTION:Melanoma March events are being held across Australia for the 15th year to raise awareness and help save lives from melanoma. \nMelanoma Institute Australia (MIA) is proudly celebrating 15 years of Melanoma March in 2026\, and is calling on all Australians to either join a local march or host their own event to take steps to help save lives from melanoma. \nNow open for registrations\, MIA’s Melanoma March events will be held all across the country during March 2026 and are organised by volunteer committees impacted by melanoma. \nThe events provide an opportunity for patients and families to come together to support each other and remember those lost to the disease. \nMelanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer and Australia has the highest melanoma rates in the world. One person is diagnosed with melanoma every 30 minutes and one person dies from the disease every six hours. It is the most common cancer affecting 20-39-year-old Australians. \nFunds raised during Melanoma March 2026 will support life-saving research. \nWorld-class research by MIA has led to groundbreaking treatment advances and improved patient outcomes. First came targeted drug therapies\, followed closely by immunotherapies – the ‘penicillin moment for cancer treatment’ – and now neoadjuvant (pre-surgery) immunotherapy. Close to 60% of advanced melanoma patients are now surviving and are essentially cured because of these treatments. \nFind your local event via the button below. If there is not an event in your area\, or if you can’t attend an event\, you can still support the campaign by getting creative and hosting a March Your Way activity with friends or individually – or by making a donation. \nRegister at the link below before 1 February to receive 50% off! \nREGISTER NOW OR DONATECost to Register: \nCosts to attend a physical event are: \n\nAdults (over 18 years) $40\nChild (5-17 years) $20\nChild (under 5) Free\nFamily deal: Register 2 x Adults and up to 5 Children (5-17 yrs) for $80. Additional adults will be charged the full rate.\n\nRegistrations to March Your Way are half price!
