SUMMARY:RACS Annual Scientific Congress 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Annual Scientific Congress (ASC) 2026 marks the 94th RACS ASC and promises to be an inspiring and future-focused event\, uniting surgeons\, scientists\, innovators\, and thought leaders from across the surgical and broader healthcare ecosystem. \nHosted at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from Thursday 30 April to Sunday 3 May 2026\, the RACS ASC will centre on the theme: The Art and Science of Collaboration. \nIn surgery\, progress is never made in isolation. This year\, we shine a spotlight on the many ways in which surgeons collaborate—with each other\, with scientists and researchers\, with industry\, biomedical engineers and policy makers\, with emerging technologies\, and of course with our patients. From the precision of robotics to the nuance of communication\, the RACS ASC 2026 will explore how meaningful collaboration drives innovation and improves outcomes. \nLocation: Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre\, Perth \nKey Dates: \nAbstract Submissions Close: 8:00am AWST\, Tuesday 27 January 2026 \nAbstract Notifications: March 2026 \nClosure of Early Registration: 11:59pm AWST\, Sunday 15 March 2026 \nFIND OUT MORE

SUMMARY:Australian Melanoma Research Foundation Research Grants
DESCRIPTION:The AMRF will continue to support the next generation of melanoma researchers in Australia by providing research grants to post-graduate students and early career researchers. \nThe AMRF will fund research that contributes to the understanding and prevention of melanoma. The number of grants awarded in 2026 will depend on the quality of the applications and the funds requested. The AMRF will be selective in the research it supports. Any proposal to the Foundation for research funding will need to be contestable and show evidence of scientific merit within the national context. \nThe aim of the AMRF’s grants scheme is to support high quality research that is not fully funded through other grant schemes or from other sources.  AMRF funds are to be applied to offset the direct costs of the research. The proposed research may be part of an existing  research program.  However\, the application to the AMRF should be for a stand-alone component of that existing project. \nApplications for funding will be assessed against several of the following criteria: \n\nPublication history in melanoma (by the applicant and/or their supervisor)\nEvidence of scientific merit and clinical need within the national context\nProposed dissemination of research findings\nBroader impact on education and awareness of melanoma\n\nKey Dates\nEOIs close: 30 April 2026\nFull applications deadline: 25 May 2026\nSuccessful applicants announced: 15 June 2026\nFunds available: by 30 June 2026 \nSEE GRANT GUIDELINESSEE WEBSITE
