DESCRIPTION:Discovery Projects for funding commencing in 2027 will be run in a two-stage application process\, commencing with an Expression of Interest (EOI). Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a full application. \nDiscovery Projects may be undertaken by individual researchers or research teams to: \n\nexpand knowledge base and research capacity in Australia\, and\neconomic\, commercial\, environmental\, social and/or cultural benefits for Australia.\n\nDiscovery Projects are for funding between $30\,000 and $500\,000 each year for up to 5 consecutive years. DESCRIPTION:The Linkage Infrastructure\, Equipment and Facilities (LIEF) scheme provides funding to eligible organisations for research infrastructure\, equipment and facilities. \nUnder this scheme researchers participate in cooperative initiatives so that expensive research infrastructure\, equipment and facilities can be shared between higher education organisations and industry. \nThe scheme fosters collaboration through its support of the cooperative use of international or national research facilities. \nApplicants may seek funding for: \n\ninfrastructure\, equipment and facility purchases\, construction and installation\nsalaries directly associated with creating and installing infrastructure\, equipment or facilities\nleasing of infrastructure\, equipment or facilities\nconsortium membership costs\, in the case of Australia’s participation in the use of significant international-scale or national research facilities\nspecialised computing facilities and software\ncompilations\, catalogues\, clearing houses or bibliographies.\n\nThis scheme is intended to support researchers from higher education organisations and industry to gain access to the infrastructure\, equipment and facilities that they need to carry out their research. The scheme provides funding to eligible organisations to purchase\, construct or access expensive research infrastructure. \nKey Dates \nApplications close: 9 April 2026 \nAnnouncement: 22 December 2026 – 16 March 2027 \nSEE GRANT GUIDELINES PDFSEE WEBSITE

SUMMARY:ARC Linkage Projects
DESCRIPTION:The Linkage Program promotes national and international research partnerships between researchers and business\, industry\, community organisations and other publicly funded research agencies. By supporting the development of partnerships\, the ARC encourages the transfer of skills\, knowledge and ideas as a basis for securing commercial and other benefits of research. \nThe Linkage Projects grant opportunity supports projects which initiate or develop long term strategic research alliances to apply advanced knowledge to problems\, acquire new knowledge and as a basis for securing commercial and other benefits of research. \nThere will be one assessment round for Linkage Projects 2026. \nThe Linkage Projects scheme objectives are to: \n\nsupport internationally competitive research projects and teams on challenges or opportunities of relevance to research end-users;\nfoster the establishment and strengthening of research alliances between higher education organisations and research end-users;\nenhance the scale and focus of research\, including in Australian Government priority areas.\n\nApplications for funding under the Linkage Projects scheme must include at least one Partner Organisation. The Partner Organisation must make a contribution in cash and/or in kind to the project.
