Dr Christoph Sinz
Dr Christoph Sinz is an Austrian trained Dermatologist with a special interest and training in non-invasive in-vivo imaging techniques such as reflectance confocal microscopy, optical coherence tomography and dermatoscopy. He undertook training in dermatology at the Medical University Vienna in Austria. Upon completion of his dermatology fellowship in 2018 he was promoted to a senior staff specialist position at the Department of Dermatology at the Medical University Hospital in Vienna leading the confocal microscopy service and the early recognition unit for high risk melanoma patients until his relocation to Sydney in August 2022.
He undertook his confocal microscopy training in Modena Italy in 2016 and 2017, with a confocal microscopy fellowship at the Sydney Melanoma Diagnostic Centre at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in 2019. Since 2014, he has been a research fellow in the Vienna Dermatologic Imaging Research (ViDIR) Group at the Medical University in Vienna, Austria, participating in several research projects assessing non-invasive imaging devices regarding their diagnostic accuracy resulting in numerous national and international publications.
