Fellowships

MIA offers a number of unique clinical and research-based Fellowships each year to train and educate the melanoma clinicians of the future. These Fellowships offer an outstanding opportunity for high-level training in medical oncology, melanoma surgical oncology, breast and surgical oncology, melanoma pathology, and dermatology.

The Observership Program at Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA) offers applicants a distinctive observation experience. Candidates who are accepted into this program will attend MIA and affiliated hospitals to observe the integrated management of melanoma patients at our world-class research and treatment centre.

As a not for profit research institute, we appreciate the generosity of not only our donors and corporate partners, but also our volunteers. These may be patients, their families, work places or community groups who all want to help make a difference.

Work Experience & Internships

Working out what career path you’d like to take, or getting valuable on-the-ground experience can be tough. We are happy to help and welcome interest from senior high school students and University/higher education students who wish to spend some time with us.

Doing Work Experience or an Internship with Melanoma Institute Australia provides opportunity to see first hand our ground-breaking clinical care, our cutting edge research and lab work, as well as how we develop our fundraising and awareness campaigns. Places are limited so please get in touch as soon as you know your requested dates.
