Research Officer - Supportive Care

Jake Thompson is the Co-Head of the Supportive Care and Survivorship Theme at MIA and PhD candidate at the University of Sydney.

Jake has been a part of MIA since 2019, where he has conducted research studies aiming to identify and address the unmet needs of melanoma patients, the adverse effects and impacts of new targeted and immunotherapies, developing interventions to improve patient quality of life, and co-ordinating research studies and clinical services aiming to provide supportive care services to melanoma patients.

Jake has a keen interest in working alongside other themes at MIA to create and implement resources and support services for melanoma patients and their caregivers.
