The Cancer Institute NSW is delighted to announce the return of the NSW Premier’s Awards for Outstanding Cancer Research, a prestigious event that pays tribute to the remarkable accomplishments of individuals and teams within the cancer research community and those supporting innovation and cutting-edge delivery of care.

Now is your chance to nominate an exceptional team or individual. The Outstanding Cancer Clinical Trials Unit Award is especially relevant to your work.

This Award recognises a high-performing cancer clinical trials unit in New South Wales that demonstrates operational excellence, leadership in trial conduct, and commitment to advancing access to cancer clinical trials.

Nominations are now open across nine award categories:

• Outstanding Cancer Researcher of the Year Award

• Outstanding Early Career Researcher Award

• Outstanding Mid-Career Researcher Award

• Rising Star PhD Candidate Award

• Outstanding Cancer Clinical Trials Unit Award

• Consumer Engagement in Cancer Research Award

• Cancer Control Innovation Award

• Improving Equitable Outcomes through Cancer Research Award

• Reducing Cancer Inequality for Aboriginal People Award

These categories highlight progress and success in line with the strategic goals of the NSW Cancer Plan and NSW Aboriginal Cancer Strategy.

The winners will be announced at the NSW Premier’s Awards for Outstanding Cancer Research event to be held at 5.00pm Thursday 19 November 2026 at NSW Parliament House.

Anyone involved in improving cancer patient outcomes within NSW is eligible to be nominated.

Nominations close 12pm (noon) Monday 13 July 2026.
