In alignment with the theme of the UN 2024 International Women’s Day: Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress, MIA is delighted to announce the establishment of a MIA Women in Leadership Investment Fund. This important initiative will enable all MIA employees identifying as female to further develop and accelerate their leadership skills training.

“Our society needs to change so that women and men are equally able to identify and build a life they truly want” said Prof Georgina Long AO, joint 2024 Australian of the Year with Prof Richard Scolyer AO.

MIA currently employs 107 staff who identify as female, in full time, part-time or on a casual basis, representing 81% of all our staff.
