We are excited to commence the work to develop the Roadmap for a National Targeted Skin Cancer Screening Program, and proud to be leading such an important endeavour for the Australian community.

On Friday 14th March, Professor Georgina Long and Professor Anne Cust of Melanoma Institute Australia were delighted to welcome over 65 people to The Poche Centre, with a further 25 joining online, to commence the work to develop the Roadmap for a National Targeted Skin Cancer Screening Program.

After receiving the grant from the Australian Government in January this year to lead this Program, the MIA team has been setting up the operational processes and the working groups that will collaborate to develop the Roadmap.

The meeting on Friday brought together clinicians, researchers, consumers and stakeholders from all over Australia to begin the work in earnest.

Over the next three and a half years, these teams will work together to design a blueprint for an evidence-based, equitable and accessible skin cancer screening program that will be delivered to the Government for consideration.

We are excited to have this work underway and proud to be leading such an important endeavour for the Australian community.
