A big thank you to our wonderful community of fundraisers. Your dedication and the stories behind your fundraising efforts are inspiring. We are so grateful for your support to help us reach zero deaths from melanoma.

Manly Warringah Softball Association Fundraiser

Thanks to the Manly Warringah Softball Association Community, a total of $930 was raised for MIA at their Melanoma Awareness Day. With a passion for sun safety, the club was keen to not only raise funds for MIA, but also raise awareness about sun safety.

The day was a huge success, the kids asked a lot of questions about sun safety, and were keen to slip, slop, slap, seek & slide!

Point Cook Centrals Cricket Club (PCCCC) Ladies’ Day

The incredible team at Point Cook Centrals Cricket Club has once again shown the power of community spirit. This year, they hosted a beautiful Ladies’ High Tea fundraiser in support of Melanoma Institute Australia.

It was a heartfelt tribute to their beloved founder, Paul “Pritch” Pritchard, raising over $4,500 for Melanoma Institute Australia. Pritch was more than just the founder of PCCCC; he was its beating heart. A passionate, community-minded man, he dedicated nine years as Club President, pouring his time, energy, and love into the club he helped build. Sadly, Pritch passed away late last year after a courageous battle with cancer. Supporting Melanoma Institute Australia was his wish, and the club honoured it in the most meaningful way.

To everyone at Point Cook Centrals Cricket Club, thank you. We are so moved by your generosity, and so grateful for your support. What a beautiful way to celebrate the life and legacy of someone who gave, and meant, so much.

Terry White Chemmart Riverside

Kim and her family are big supporters of  Tour De Cure in Tasmania, as well as big supporters of Professor Richard Scolyer, who grew up locally.

Kim works at Terry White Chemmart in Riverside. The pharmacy wanted to do a fundraiser for MIA in honour of Professor Scolyer, including lucky dips, raffles and 2025 calendar sales.

Thank you to Kim, and the team at Riverside Terry White for your amazing support. Pictured is Jacqui, Ivo, Di Mason (MIA) and Kim.

In Memory Pages

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have honoured the memory of their loved ones by setting up a dedicated fundraising page in their honour.

Your compassion and support have not only honoured the legacies of those dear to you but have also contributed significantly to our mission.

In this period, we honour those who have sadly lost their battle with melanoma: Kathleen May Rickard and Stephen Kershaw.

If you would like to organise a community fundraiser to support Melanoma Institute Australia, we’d love to hear from you. Please see our website, using link below, or email Peta on fundraise@melanoma.org.au
