We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Medical Secretary who excels in teamwork and is committed to delivering exceptional care and support.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a senior medical secretary, ideally within a surgical setting.
  • Outstanding time management and organisational abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Strong medical typing skills.
  • A solid work ethic and professional demeanour.
  • Proficiency in Genie medical software.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with colleagues and patients.
  • Flexibility with work hours and holiday scheduling.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform audio typing as needed.
  • Collaborate with accountants on payment audits and monthly financial reporting.
  • Manage and maintain the Genie medical software system.
  • Oversee surgical billing and Medicare/DVA batching using Genie software.
  • Coordinate with the IT team to address technical issues and troubleshoot problems.
  • Handle debt collection processes.
  • Communicate and liaise with referring doctors to ensure smooth operations.
