Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA) is an independent, not-for-profit organization located in North Sydney. The Institute is formally affiliated with The University of Sydney and Macquarie University and collaborates with academic clinicians and researchers at St Vincent’s and Mater Health, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, Westmead Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital and the University of Sydney to improve the outcome of patients with melanoma. Each year around 2,000 new melanoma patients are referred to the Institute and approximately 20,000 follow-up visits occur. MIA has become a major referral centre for melanoma patients from NSW and overseas.

About the opportunity

MIA is currently sourcing a UI/UX Developer with extensive experience & skills in commercial development, focusing on enabling the design and delivery of internal web applications. This role will report to the Chief Information Officer, with the main responsibility being able to transform existing platforms in use at MIA.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong experience with building/supporting Web applications with Angular 16, REACT
  • Knowledge of RESTful Services, APIs, C#, DOT Net
  • Extensive skills in HTML5, CSS
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to enhance the customer experience (CX).

Nice to have, but not essential:

  • Experience in technology projects and application development in a health and/or health research setting
  • Experience working with specialist medical practices

Salary range for this role is between $90,000 – $140,000 + Salary Packaging + Super (depending on experience).
