Our 2024 Australians of the Year, Prof Georgina Long AO and Prof Richard Scolyer AO recently enjoyed the experience of exploring the Northern Territory as part of a visit organised by the Australia Day Council.

Their visit included a Saltwater Ceremony performed by Dr Richie Fejo, visits to communities and schools, a crocodile cruise, a bunggul led by Witiyana (2024 NT Local Hero), a lesson in bush medicine from Yalmay (2024 Senior Australian of the Year) and meeting up with Nova Peris (1997 Young Australian of the Year).
