Full time, North Sydney

An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and experienced recruiter to join Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA), the world’s largest treatment and research centre with a single focus on melanoma. We are an independent, non-profit organisation located at Wollstonecraft near North Sydney. Our mission is to reach zero deaths from melanoma this decade.

The Head of Human Resources (HR) is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and experienced Recruitment Consultant who is driven by the desire to support ground-breaking research, clinical and education programs, by assisting the business with its recruitment needs.

This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process for MIA. This will include assistance in overseeing the request to recruit, writing job advertisements, advertising, short listing, scheduling interviews, participation in most interviews, suggesting interview questions, making notes, feedback to unsuccessful candidates, reference checks, liaising with hiring managers on the job offer and formal offer of employment.

We would prefer the successful candidate to work full time (on site), but we would consider a part time role (on site) working a minimum of 25 hours per week, ideally between 9.30am to 3pm each weekday. The role will be based at our Wollstonecraft research and treatment centre, The Poche Centre. The position will work closely with the Head of HR and will require some generalist HR ad hoc responsibilities when time permits. MIA uses Employment Hero as its HRIS, therefore exposure to this platform would be advantageous.

Closing date is 15/03/2024 but we may interview suitable candidates prior to this date.

To apply for this role please submit a cover letter and resume addressing your experience in the recruiting space. Candidates with previous clinical/medical experience will be favourably considered. Please apply by clicking on the appropriate link on this job board.

Only applicants with full working rights within Australia should apply. Due to the many applications we receive for our roles we will only contact candidates we wish to interview.

As we are considered a health facility, in order for us to accept your application, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID19.
