There are so many people we wish to thank for making this such an incredible evening…

Thank you to our special guests – 2024 Australian of the Year Professor Richard Scolyer AO and his wife Katie. Professor Scolyer received a standing ovation and hearing him speak was a clear highlight of the evening. It was also wonderful to hear from Associate Professor Richard Harrison and Annette St Clair.

Special shoutout goes to Australian Army Band Kapooka who brought the fun atmosphere with some iconic party tunes, and to the charismatic MC Jamie Way who doubled as a surprise singer.

The 1920s Gatsby scene was set with a red carpet on arrival, accompanied by a genuine vintage 1927 Chevrolet Capital, courtesy of Phil Hoey.

The oh-so fun photobooth and 360 video, from Riverina Photobooths, was an absolute hit.

Auctioneer Joe Wilks, who conducted the live auction, was brilliant.

Special thanks to our wonderful and dedicated Organising Committee.

Thank you to the businesses who donated prizes and supported the ball, including GIO Wagga, O’Reilly Trucks, Epica Jeweller, Picnic Party Hire, and Romano’s Hotel.

We are so grateful to Miss Wagga Entrants – Amy Hickey and Shauna Lamotte – for their support, and to Kealey, Maggie and Chloe for all their amazing help with the raffles.

Shout out to our suppliers who went above and beyond including catering by Nathan Gayle & staff of Wagga Catering Service, decorations by Wagga Event Hire & MECA Balloons, and lighting by CC Productions.

Last, but certainly not least, thank you to all the 270+ guests who glammed up in Gatsby and wholeheartedly supported our ball, raising valuable funds for melanoma research and support services in the Riverina.

We can’t wait for next year!
